#23: Are you eating enough fibre?

Are you eating enough fibre?

So what exactly is fibre?

Fibre is the indigestible part of the plant found in foods such as vegetables, fruits, grains and beans.

It is very important to eat fibre as it helps prevent strokes, heart disease, diabetes and many other diseases.

Fibre speeds up the transit of waste through the colon helping keep your gut healthy.

Fibre is used as a food source by friendly bacteria in your gut and that's how it keeps your gut healthy.

How to increase your fibre!

To increase your level of fibre in your diet, when you eat fruit and vegetables, leave the peel or skin on and eat whole grains rather than processed or refined carbohydrates.
